Mahmut Eyüboğlu

After graduating from Bilkent University Faculty of Law in 2011, Mahmut Eyüboğlu began his legal career as a trainee lawyer at Başpınar & Partners, a member of the international GRATA network. Upon completing his mandatory one-year legal internship, he was admitted to the Istanbul Bar Association. He subsequently served for two years as in-house counsel at a Turkish Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), gaining substantial experience in corporate and real estate law.

In December 2015, he founded his own law firm, Eyüboğlu Büyükatak Law Firm. Since then, he has been advising both domestic and international investors in the real estate sector, representing real estate investment companies, landowners, developers, contractors, and lenders in a wide range of transactions and legal matters. His areas of practice include corporate law, landlord and tenant law, litigation, and land registry matters. He also provides comprehensive legal advice on Urban Transformation Law in Türkiye.

With an extensive international practice, Mahmut Eyüboğlu advises clients across the Middle East, Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, and the United Arab Emirates. In addition to his legal expertise, his entrepreneurial approach has enabled him to establish strong professional relationships with business partners and senior executives throughout Türkiye, Europe, the Middle East, and the Arabian Peninsula. Recognized as one of Türkiye’s leading real estate lawyers, Mahmut Eyüboğlu combines extensive practical experience with a thorough understanding of the legal framework governing the real estate sector. Owing to his expertise in urban transformation law, he was invited by Istanbul University to lecture on the subject and taught Urban Transformation Law for two academic terms.

In addition to his strong presence in the domestic market, Mahmut Eyüboğlu has established a distinguished international practice and possesses a deep understanding of cross-border real estate investment. His expertise in foreign investment has led to interviews in leading business publications, where he shared his views on the advantages of acquiring property in Türkiye.

Mahmut Eyüboğlu has also been invited as a speaker at career and mentoring conferences hosted by Erciyes University. During these events, he participated in panel discussions alongside leading legal advisors and practitioners, sharing his professional knowledge and practical experience with students and fellow legal professionals.

Throughout his career, Mahmut Eyüboğlu has represented at least twenty clients in title deed and ownership matters relating to unfinished construction projects in Türkiye. He has provided comprehensive legal counsel from the acquisition stage through project completion for a prestigious real estate development with a total construction and development value of approximately USD 1 billion.

He has further advised contractors in approximately thirty urban transformation projects and represented property owners in at least twenty additional projects. He has also spoken at real estate seminars addressing the legal challenges faced by foreign investors in Türkiye. In addition, he represented a foreign investor in conducting legal due diligence and acquisition processes involving more than 1,000 residential units and 30 commercial units within a landmark mixed-use development.
